Education for a Future in Nagi
Education in Nagi does not exist to arrange people in rank order alone.
It is a place where learners can carry their own questions, encounter differences in others, and choose ways of relating to the world.
Learning includes knowledge, skills, creation, the body, local memory, care, relations with nature, and the ability to rest.
- Possibility is not decided by grades, volume of speech, or speed alone.
- Resting, changing direction, and returning to learning are respected.
- People can choose to use AI, consult only people, or think with paper.
- Learning histories and conversations are not stored long-term without the learner’s consent.
- Local knowledge and culture carry their provenance and a return to the communities from which they come.
Play and structure
Play is exploration that cannot be measured only by immediate usefulness. It gives room to test words and relations that are not yet settled, and to grow questions through failure and detours.
Structure exists so that possibilities people discover can be shared with others, criticized later, and maintained in durable form.
Education does not punish exploration. At the same time, it makes the conditions of learning, provenance, and responsibility easier to see.
Education is not the selection of people who can produce the correct answer quickly.
It is helping each person remake their relation to the world in their own words.
